Rich began in managing insurance handling Medical Claims billing for a pathology lab. Working with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Medicare showed the value of knowing the insurance lingo and how to make the claims process smooth. After several years of working for someone else Rich decided to study for his Insurance Agent's License to start the ball rolling toward becoming an Independent Agent.

The Vision
The ongoing vision of Atlas Insurance Agency is to be able to provide insurance for all needs. This is very difficult as there are so many different situations that are not always acceptable to all carriers. We have become appointed with carriers to provide insurance for a majority of the needs out there. We started with a single major carrier, Farmers Insurance, but left to become fully independent in 2006 due to the limitations of its scope and capabilities.

Rich is licensed in Life and Disability (Life, Health, Annuities, Disability, and Long-Term Care), Property and Casualty (Auto, Home, Commercial, and Insurance Bonds) and FINRA Registration. Atlas Insurance Agency has Washington State Business Licensure.

Atlas Insurance Agency is affiliated with the Trusted Choice Independent Insurance Agents Association. This entity represents the strive for High Standards of business practice and Unwavering Ethics.

The Greek god Atlas was one of the Titans. He stood up to the main god Zeus. For this bold attempt he was given the burden of keeping the heavens and the Earth separate. Since the Heavens are so immense, he was given strength and unwavering steadfastness. ATLAS as an agency name was chosen because of its association with Strength and Responsibility. We thought Atlas's role was similar to the role of Insurance in general. We can't see the separation of day-to-day living and Risk but we know it's there.
